Why

Death ... Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (Romans 5:12)

We are by nature children of wrath ... Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. (Ephesians 2:3)

We had no hope and were without God ... That at the time ye were without Christ, being aliens form the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world: (Ephesians 2:12)

We were born with a wicked heart ... The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:9)

God's Mirror ... As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes. Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (Romans 3:10-20)

What we are... But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; knowing this, that the law is not made for righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; (I Timothy 1:8-10)

Break just one point of the law ... For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. (James 2:10)

Love, we didn't... And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:29-31)

Don't, we did ... Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. (Exodus 20:7)

We are born sick, and rotten ... Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick and the whole heart faint. From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrefying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment. (Isaiah 1:5,6)

We were born unclean ... But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags and we all do fade as a leaf and our iniquities, like the wind, have take us away. (Isaiah 64:6)

Our need ... Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. (Galatians 2:16)

The law brings a curse ... For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse for it is written, Cursed is everyone that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall like in them. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for is: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promises was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. (Galatians 3:10-13,19)

Purpose of the law ... Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. But the scriptures hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. (Galatians 3:21-23)

Repentance--changing your mind and agreeing with God ... The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (II Peter 3:9)

The Cross ... For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto is which are saved it is the power of God. (I Corinthians 1:17,18)

God loves... For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

God dies ... Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. (I John 3:16)

God comes ... And without controversy great is the mystery if godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. (I Timothy 3:16)

God's Record ... If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (I John 5:9-13)

God the Creator ... He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received his not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (John 1:10-12)

God's blood ... Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. (Acts 20:20)

LORD JESUS CHRIST ... In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: (Colossians 1:14)

Wants all saved ... Who will have all man to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (I Timothy 2:4)

Summary... I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will let him take the water of life freely. (Revelation 22:16,17)

God's sacrifice ... For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. (I Corinthians 1:18)

God's power ... But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. (John 1:12)

God's faith ... For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (Ephesians 2:8)

Faith ... Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: (Phillipians 3:8,9)

It's your choice. Will you receive God's sacrifice, God's blood, God's power, God's faith, and ...God's love?
